Last July, NYCHOS flew over to Spain in order to realize 4 murals on the walls of a giant silo in Porzuna. Located in the south of Madrid, Porzuna lies inmidst of Ciudad Real, a rural province with the silo being the highest building in sight. What seems like the middle of nowhere, feels amazingly welcoming. NYCHOS was invited by I Am Titanes, a project that promotes the social integration of people with disabilities by the means of art.

What do you do when you receive love? You give it back.

“Pillar Of Unified Love” is a compilation of 4 murals, telling the story of finding infinitive love by joining your soul mate.

Compared to NYCHOS’ other works, these murals seem rather reduced – in color as well as in complexity. The artist is making use of the distinct language of the most basic structure of our physical vessel: The skeleton. Being a representation of fear and death, the skeleton carries a clear negative connotation in our society. But in fact, it’s the core of what keeps us upright and alive. NYCHOS aims to counteract this fear of death by showing love. Infinitive love, the one you experience by meeting your soul mate. Within his murals, he breaks down 4 essential steps one’s got to undergo to make this happen.

“Skeletal Structure” – Mural 1 is introducing the basic structures of the male and the female skeleton. It shows slight difference in skull, rip cage and pelvis proportions.

“Find Love Within” – Mural 2 is dedicated to self-love and overcoming the Ego, which is essential before one can find true love in someone else.

“Join Twin Flame” – Mural 3 shows the encounter of two souls.

“The Fusion”: Mural 4 is the visualization of two souls becoming one – until death and beyond.
