NYCHOS RETURNS TO SAN FRANCISO FOR HIS SOLO SHOW: ‘STREET ANATOMY’ AT FIFTY24SF GALLERY
Founder of the Rabbit Eye Movement (REM), NYCHOS, opens his solo show ‘STREET ANATOMY’ at Fifty24SF Gallery this month along with a series of pop-up murals to be installed in the city. The Austria-based artist has been traveling around the world this past year, leaving his footprint in every city with a mural of his contagious signature REM style. In 2013, his stop in San Francisco resulted in a giant tiger mural scaling a six-story building on Geary Street between Jones and Taylor. This week he finished his second mural, ‘X-Ray of a Wolf’, painted at the historic cross section of Haight and Ashbury Street. The wolf mural was curated by Chris Shaher for Wallspace with the help of Fifty24SF Gallery and Montana Cans.
Nychos, well known for his remarkable skill and masterful dissections of his anatomically disassembled characters, has been accumulating a steady following of international fans and fanatics. His Rabbit Eye Movement, founded as a street concept in Vienna, in 2005, has now grown into a family of recognized artists from all over the world. The highly anticipated solo show, ’Street Anatomy’ opens Friday, April 18th 7:00pm at the FIFTY24SF Gallery and Upper Playground located in Lower Haight, San Francisco.
