On October, 22nd the Kolly Gallery in Zurich is going to open its doors for NYCHOS: TRANSLUCENT FEAR Pushing off of an impressive body of work in which he explored all possible varieties of dissections and cross-sections, NYCHOS spent the past months working on a new process to reveal skeletal structures in his paintings. About three weeks ago, NYCHOS went on a short trip to Aalborg to paint a wall at WEAArt, a privately organized Urban Art festival, that entirely focuses on muralism. ”Translucent Medusa” is one of his latest murals and shows the x-ray of the Gorgon Medusa. Autumn slowly reaches Vienna and we’ve just noticed that we still owe you some pictures of our Californian Summer. From June, 21st to June 27th POW! WOW! organized their latest mural festival in Long Beach, California – a festival, which has its roots in Hawaii but managed to expand to different cities all around the world. Nowadays, POW! Nychos was invited to this year’s MURAL – an international urban art festival, which took place on the Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. From June 4th to June 14th, the street was converted into an open-air museum by 9 participating artists from all over the globe – and Nychos was one of them. His contribution ”Screaming for Vengeance” pays homage to the artist’s love for heavy metal as he’s referring to Doug Johnson’s cover art work for the eponymous Judas Priest album. Nychos recently painted a mural in the former SNCF train yard of the ”Gare du Nord” in Paris. ”Train Attack” is a homage to Graffiti as the artist translates his passion into a powerful visual language. Having the chance to legally spray-paint the entrance of an abandoned train yard is something that sounds unusual at the first moment, maybe still at the second. Dissecting a polar bear is a 4 day mission – at least that’s what NYCHOS proved last week in Vienna. As part of our 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WEEKS and right before the world premiere of The Deepest Depths of the Burrow Nychos spray-painted a giant polar bear on a 24 meter wall.
