“IN BLOOM” – NYCHOS Earlier this year, NYCHOS left his mark on a brand new surface in the vicinity of Vienna. Some of you may have seen it already, heading from the airport to the city center. Two bold skeletons emerge gently from the grey surroundings capturing the beauty of the endless spiral of life and death. Nature is slowly reclaiming them, sending a variety of plants that entwine around their bones, about to bloom. video: Christian... Read more..

photo by Rivera&Donas, provided by Ink And Movement Last July, NYCHOS flew over to Spain in order to realize 4 murals on the walls of a giant silo in Porzuna. Located in the south of Madrid, Porzuna lies inmidst of Ciudad Real, a rural province with the silo being the highest building in sight. What seems like the middle of nowhere, feels amazingly welcoming. NYCHOS was invited by I Am Titanes, a project that promotes the social integration of people... Read more..

In July, a giant shark has come to the surface in downtown San José – facing the SAP Center, also known as The Shark Tank. Right in time for the start of the 2019-20 season, Nychos teamed up with The San José Sharks and dedicated a giant mural to the ice hockey team’s home town – a shark, powerfully emerging in front of the city’s skyline, clearly showing what fuels him: San José and the color Teal. Veins arise from... Read more..

DXTR The Weird and NYCHOS The Weird met up in California a while back and this is what happened. While it’s not uncommon to see Nychos out and about in the states these days, it doesn’t happen too often to see two weirdos join forces on the other side of the pond. After The Weird exhibition in Austin, DXTR set off to San Francisco to visit the chief rabbit. Apparently the weather sucked so the two decided to take a little road trip to Los Angeles.... About three weeks ago, NYCHOS went on a short trip to Aalborg to paint a wall at WEAArt, a privately organized Urban Art festival, that entirely focuses on muralism. ”Translucent Medusa” is one of his latest murals and shows the x-ray of the Gorgon Medusa. It’s not that easy to focus on the incredible technique and dynamics the artist has been working with, because Nychos made sure that there’s no way to escape Medusa’s petrifying gaze. Be careful and don’t stare at her too long,... Read more..

A couple of weeks ago, six members of the LORDS CREW painted a huge new piece at the Mural Harbor in Linz, one of Austria’s most innovative spots for Urban Art and muralism. ”Lords Of The Red Dragon” almost takes in 500 square meters – That’s a proper size to celebrate the crew member’s mutual love to Graffiti and to fix the bond between their different roots in California and Austria. For a long period of time, Linz had to live with the image of being... Read more..

Nychos was invited to this year’s MURAL – an international urban art festival, which took place on the Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. From June 4th to June 14th, the street was converted into an open-air museum by 9 participating artists from all over the globe – and Nychos was one of them. His contribution ”Screaming for Vengeance” pays homage to the artist’s love for heavy metal as he’s referring to Doug Johnson’s cover art work for the eponymous Judas Priest album. Nychos transforms Johnson’s metal eagle into an animal, which is made of feathers,... Read more..
